END OF REGISTRATION: Registration for North American Division ends April 15, 2009, or when the NAD ticket total reaches 32,000, whichever happens first.


2. PRAYER - PETITION & PRAISE

INTERNATIONAL PATHFINDERS: Pray for international Pathfinders as they deal with visa issues, accommodations and financial plans. Only the first 2,000 international guests to purchase a registration ticket will be accepted. International registration deadline is May 1st, 2009.


3. DAYTIME PROGRAMMING

DRILL AND DRUM CORP: The sand of time is running out for Pathfinder Clubs to participate in the Drill and Drum Corp portion of the Camporee. Since it takes about 30 minutes per club, we must have everyone pre-register in order for them to have a time slot reserved with the judges. The deadline has been extended to May 29. KNITTING HONOR & OLYMPIC 2010 SCARF MINISTRY: Help is needed to hand knit hundreds of scarves to be distributed by young people during the 2010 Winter Games. Clubs can complete the Knitting honor. Bring your finished scarves to the British Columbia Conference Camp ground for special dedication and shipping for the games. SPECIAL EVENT - DAILY PARADE: Antique/classic cars needed for the daily 4:00 p.m parades. More info: Denny Grady at dennyg@pcsda.org or call (540) 886-0771.

ROCKS AND MINERALS HONOR: The Oregon Conference is teaching the Rocks and Minerals Honor for the third time in a row! They need 12 clubs to bring rocks from their state or country to CTS. Clubs will need to bring 1000 rocks of one type that are 1-2" in size. Clubs who bring rocks will get first priority on getting a unique rock collection. Please do not bring rocks without contacting: Rod Bardell, Pathfinder Coordinator, 38887 Mt. Home Dr., Lebanon, OR 97355 or rodanntreesrus@iinet.com. Send a postcard or email with your name, club, address and rock type.


4. NIGHTTIME PROGRAMMING

DRUM CORPS: If you would be interested in taking part in the nighttime core as part of the CTS Drum core, contact Erin Hannah at hannahe@andrews.edu by April 10, 2009.

THEME SONG UPDATE: With all the votes, the theme song committee has narrowed down the theme song choices to just two. You only have seven days to vote for your favorite one! The voting closes April 10th, 2009. Click here and listen to the songs. Send your vote to Erin at hannahe@andrews.edu. Once the song is selected, it will made available online for a free download before the Camporee.

NIGHTTIME VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are in the final stages of locking in all personnel and are in need of 50 extra volunteers. Volunteer opportunities range from sign language, security, lighting crew and many more. If you are interested, sign up as soon as possible. INVESTITURES: If you are interested in the Master Guide/PLA/PIA Investiture please visit this site and fill in the application. 2009 BIBLE-&-BUCK PROJECT: Bring an English or Spanish Bible and a dollar bill to cover shipping cost to help share the gospel to someone in another country. At the 2004 FOF Camporee, we collected 32,000 Bibles (18,000 dollars in shipping). For more info, click here.

SEATING: We recommend you bring a chair to best experience the nighttime programming.


5. FACILITY / CAMPSITE

ICE: Blocked and crushed ice will be available at the Big Red Barn starting Monday August 10th at noon. Be sure to bring a “little red wagon” to hall the bags of ice back to your campground.

  • Crushed ice: 7lb bag for $2.50 US; 20 lb bag for $5.00 US.
  • Block ice: 11 lb for $5.50 US.

6. SECURITY / TRANSPORTATION / MEDICAL

PORTABLE X-RAY MACHINE: We would like to thank Steve Nelson for offering an x-ray machine to be used during the Camporee free of charge. We thank him for his kindness and desire to help.

LETTER TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Click here to find a letter that can be presented to Public School administration to inform them of the Camporee and request an excused absent.

10. INTERNATIONAL UPDATES

NAD HOSTING CLUBS: If you are planning to host international guests, check that your club name is listed on Who's Hosting Who. If it’s not there, please email international@camporee.org right away. We want to allocate your club space enough to include your guests. Thanks for helping us keep this online report complete and accurate. More info: Glynis Bradfield at glynisb@andrews.edu.

VISA APPLICATIONS: As each international guest is fully responsible for their own travel, no letters of invitation are provided. Once registration is confirmed by email, you may request a letter of confirmation on Camporee letterhead be emailed to you. This can be printed to show with your USA visa application. AND NEW! We’ve created a letter providing background information about Pathfindering, the Adventist church, and this event. You may wish to download, print, and present this with your visa application.

INTERNATIONAL LEADERS: All international group leaders are invited to a lunch reception on Tuesday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m., in the EEA Museum (downstairs section). Please RSVP by email to international@camporee.org by May 15, 2009, if you are a division, union, conference youth leader or club/group leader and plan to attend this reception and information meeting.


11. VOLUNTEER - STAFF

CONCESSION & EXHIBITORS: At the 2004 Faith on Fire Camporee, all 40,000 square feet in the concession/exhibit building was gone 6 months before the first day of the Camporee. ADVENTIST RODDERS CLUB: This Adventist car club is asking for its member to bring classic and antique cars to join the daily CTS parades. More info: Donn Leiske at adventistroddersclub@gmail.com.

CTS TICKET MAILING: Have you been wondering when your tickets will arrive? We will be mailing them out after registration closes, during the month of April.
