Here is information that will help you plan for your travel insurance as you prepare for the 2024 Believe the Promise International Pathfinder Camporee in Gillette, Wyoming. Please plan to purchase this insurance for all individuals attending the camporee. You will be able to purchase these coverages starting April 1, 2024, at www.adventistrisk.org

This insurance will pay medical expenses for loss due to an accident or an emergency illness. Coverage includes the actual days of the camporee August 5, 2024, through August 11, 2024, with an additional 7 days for direct travel to and from the camporee.

Coverage is reasonably priced and covers medical, emergency evacuation, accidental death and dismemberment, etc., with no deductible. It’s a purchase your club can’t afford to skip.

U.S. Clubs - United States-based clubs and attendees

This insurance will pay medical expenses for loss due to an accident or an emergency illness. Coverage includes the actual days of the camporee August 5, 2024, through August 11, 2024, with an additional seven days for direct travel to and from the camporee. This insurance includes benefits for:

  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment — $50,000
  • Accident Medical Expenses — $50,000
  • Sickness Medical Expenses — $10,000
  • Repatriation of Remains Expenses — $50,000
  • Emergency Medical Evacuation — $50,000
  • Deductible — $0
  • Primary Coverage

The cost is $9.61 per individual with an additional $20 application fee. A single application can have multiple individuals or clubs on it. Please plan accordingly by purchasing your coverage on one application as a group to avoid paying the application fee multiple times.

NON - U.S. Clubs

Clubs and attendees not from the United States should purchase Short-Term Travel insurance. This coverage is designed for individuals visiting the United States from another country. This insurance will pay for emergency medical expenses resulting from an accident or sickness.

You should purchase insurance coverage to include time from the day the trip begins through the date you return to your home.

The insurance benefits for Class 2 travel to the United States are:

  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment — $25,000
  • Accident and Sickness Medical Expenses — $280,000
  • Repatriation of Remains Benefits — 100% Covered
  • Emergency Medical Evacuation Benefit — 100% Covered
  • Deductible — $0
  • Primary Coverage
  • Other benefits included

The cost is per individual and based on coverage duration. While the exact pricing for 2024 will be available in November 2023, the estimated cost for the first seven days of travel is $48.00 per person with an additional $20 fee per application. A single application can have multiple individuals or clubs on it. Please plan accordingly by purchasing your coverage on one application as a group to avoid paying the application fee multiple times.
