Knigge Dairy Farm Visit
Tour a real working Wisconsin family dairy farm. This family farm has a robotic milking system which allows the cows to milk themselves 24 hours a day. Ride a hay wagon to the milking facility and then tour through the fields to see the growing crops. Get up close and personal with the calves and other animals raised on the farm. You will also be able to check out the farm machinery that plants and harvests the corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa crops grown on this 360 acre farm. Be sure to thank our hosts, Pete and Theo Knigge, for opening their farm up for tours (perhaps some spare Pathfinder pins you may have).
NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL GUESTS: Participating in this field trip may delay or prolong your departure from the U.S.A., to the point you may miss your flight. Most often you will be asked questions like, “have you visited a farm in the U.S.?”
